Simple to use SMTP server for Windows

#1 Post by syedj » Mon Oct 22, 2007 11:32 am

Is anyone aware of any simplest to use SMTP server application for a Windows machine? The server doesn't need to have any bells and whistles as quotas/filtering and such but just be able to send emails - even through a single local account.

Thanks in advance.

Edit: Forgot to mention, an open source solution and free will be highly desirable.

Do a Google with "smtp server" and pick your choice.

Thanks for the reply.

I tried several of the choices but couldn't make any of them work. I seem to be missing something very basic that's why I was looking for someone who has already done it.

So far I looked into (among others)

http://sourceforge.net/projects/smtpserverwin/
