Thinkpad/Access IBM button reassignment ?

#1 Post by Jason404 » Mon Oct 22, 2007 6:42 pm

On a Thinkpad review, I read that it is possible to make the Thinkpad/Access IBM button open anything you like.

I have all the ThinkVantage software installed for my X31, and my button does nothing, and I have little idea what this button is actually supposed to do. What is it supposed to do?

In any case, I would like it to do something different, like open My Computer, or Windows Explorer. How do I do this, as apparently it is possible?

I'm using Windows XP.

Cheers

"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.

Thanks a lot!

I used the GUI utility mentioned, and..

I got it to open Explorer, to start in My Computer, by using the arguments I found on this page:

Cheers.
