Wifi drops

#1 Post by ahidalgo » Thu Oct 25, 2007 7:57 am

Just got a Thinkpad T61p and and loaded Opensuse 10.3 and Using the iwlwifi driver, wireless works fine in connecting to my AP, but 30 seconds to 5 minutes it drops the connection. I can reconnect with Knetworkmanager, but after another 30 seconds, I get dropped again.

Does not happen if I boot Vista. yuck..

Signal strength and bandwidth are great. I upgraded the t61p firmware and the firmware in the linksys AP. I also did all the on-line suse updates.

Thanks,

It must be a NetworkManager thing because ifup works just fine.
