Windows Hybrid Hard Disk Power Saving Option not available!

#1 Post by eyecon82 » Thu Oct 25, 2007 11:47 am

I tried to DISABLE the Windows Hybrid Hard Disk Power Saving option by going to [Control Panel]-[Power Options]-[Change plan settings]-[Change advanced power settings]-[Hard disk]-[Windows Hybrid Hard Disk Power Savings Mode].

however, the option is not available! Other uses who have the same specs show that is is there. I think I may have not installed the proper driver or program for it to show up. Does anyone know what I may be missing?

So far I have the following thinkvantage stuff installed:
BT driver and software
Hotkey driver
System interface driver
Productivity center
Power managment driver
Client Security Solution (CSS)
Fingerprint software

What am I missing to have the hybrid hard disk option show up in my power management?

Thank you

umm do you have a hybrid HD? The ones with NAND RAM and a HD Platter? Those don't come with the system so did you buy and install Vista on one of them?

update:

I was able to fix this by installing the turbo memory driver and matrix storage system..this allowed the option to come back in

all a hybrid hd is is one with a spinning HD and flash...which is what the turbo memory is

oh TurboMemory enabled ReadyDrive is what you're talking about. I guess i didn't know that the TM plus a normal HD equals HybridHD. Well that's good to know tho.
