Task bar moving around

I'm one of the odd people who likes my task bar oriented vertically on the side of my screen.

When I move the task bar vertically and lock it, the task bar will end up back at the bottom of my screen if I dock or undock (change video modes).

I do have Presentation Director running and that switches my video modes when I dock/undock.

Is there a setting somewhere that I have missed?
