OS-X veterans/people who hack OS-X please HELP!

I wanted to see if any of the Mac / OS-X veterans who are experts on hacking OS-X to make it work on non-standard hardware (such as Thinkpads) could help us out over on another form trying to get WUXGA 15.4" screens working in the MacBook Pro.

It seems that some initialization files need to be played with but everyone is getting different effects so I think what is needed is a real expert on the low-level stuff e.g. .kext files etc to figure out what needs to be done.

Can anyone help?
