x60s flicker issue with Intel Graphics Media Accelerator

When I boot up my X60s the screen flickers momentarily while loading Intel (R) Graphics Media Accelerator and wondering if other people see the same thing happening, and if anyone knows any possible solution to this problem.

One Solution to Flicker on an X61 Running XP or Vista

It seems the tray icon is the cause of this issue. Because I uninstalled the Intel software, downloaded the one at

http://downloadcenter.intel.com/filter_ ... bmit=Go%21

and installed and the flicker issue is still there. The options available through the tray icon are not needed all the time so I can prevent the exe files mention in the above link from loading up at the system start up.
