I don't know your operation system, but I'm going to list all the thing common to both XP and Vista. Hope this help:
Thinkpad's Startup program:
-Active Protection
-Power Manager
-Fingerprint Reader (if available)
-Thinkpad Hotkey driver
-Trackpoint driver
That's all I have on my machine, may also depend on individual software you have on your machine as well
