Imaging from Recovery CDs through PXE networking ??

#1 Post by Jason404 » Thu Nov 01, 2007 8:43 pm

I know that you can install XP though PXE network booting, but I have never tried it myself.

I was wondering if it was possible to do the same with the Recovery CD images? I would rather keep the .iso files as images on my FTP server, and not burn all 5 CDs.

I know how to set the laptop to boot through PXE, but I do not know what to do afterwards. How do I make the shares?

Cheers

I try that whit ghost and acronis and works fine.
Only thing that you need is source image made whit ghost or acronis.
Have not done whit recovery cds (image is faster...)
