Death toll... X41 Tablet simply dead...
While reading an ebook in bead - the X41T simply died - very similar to watching a TV turn off when power is lost. It simply went black - and would not power on (at all)
Does anyone here have a dead x41 tablet mobo they are willing to part with??? hahah - I am a little saddened by the situation. I have a guy looking at it right now - but he isn't hopeful
- any thoughts - or do I have to start piecing it out????
sigh...

sigh... if only it were that easy. I definitely did that. I even did the - remove battery - remove AC - power button hold for 30 - plug in and and power up - cycle like a billion times. The machine was ON and HOT when it just died - it was definitely a board failure ( In my life before pharmacy school I was a computer tech)
I am thinking of trying to recoup some of my loss - any thoughts

You are probably right. If none of the status indicator lights light up, your board is probably dead.
You could part out the display lid, RAM, Wifi card, keyboard, AC adapter, and maybe the hard drive on ebay. Someone might even buy your dead board (of course state up front that there is a fault in it).
Alternatively you could get a replacement system board. You should consider the costs involved with each option, how much you like your X41t and how badly you want a newer model.

Can I simply swap out my T5500 CPU in my 1953CTO T60 with a T5600? Or my T2400 core duo in my 2623D6U T60?
