A problem occurred while loading the System Update configura

#1 Post by mbrockma » Tue Nov 06, 2007 1:52 pm

I got this error message after trying to run System Update 3 one day:

"A problem occurred while loading the System Update configuration settings. Please wait while System Update restarts."

When I click "ok" the message just comes back after a few seconds. The only way to stop it is to go into the task manager and close the System Update processes.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling using the latest version from the lenovo website, but the same thing happens.

Any ideas on what might be going on? I tried a quick google search with no luck (a couple people got the same message, but no one had a solution).

I have a T60 running Vista business 32 bit. Everything else is working great. (I wasn;t even planning on updating any drivers, just wanted to see what was available, I check every so often).

Possible solution in the following thread by thinkNathan:

System Update v3.0

A newer version of Thinkvantage System Update 3.10 is also available.
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.
