how many processess to you have on startup?

my T61 has 71 processes. It takes about 2 minutes to boot up each time.

What can I do to speed it up?

i have 38 processes at startup. i timed it once and it took about 55 seconds to hit the desktop. one thing you could do, if you're using xp, is disable a ton of the services that you don't need. go to tweakxp.com and look for Black Viper's guide on disabling services.
