X60s overheating

Lately, my X60s has been reaching very high temperatures, to the point of me not being able to touch the bottom panel. The fan seems to be working and hot air is constantly blowing out. Other than that, everything seems to be working properly.
I don't think it is relevant, but 2 months ago I had to replace a malfunctioning 80GB HD with a new 120GB HD. The overheating stated a long time after the change.
Any ideas? I'd like to avoid sending the laptop to the dealer, as it may take a long time.

PS Later I installed SpeedFan which reports CPU temps of 75-76c!

I'm also very interested in other users' feedback on the topic as I noticed my X60 thinkpad is operating seemingly warmer than it used to.

In my case though, I didn't really notice a "before" and an "after". Seems more like it's been progressive over the 1 and a half year I've owned the box... Maybe accumulating dust and the fan getting old/functionning badly over time?

Anyway, the only things that helped get my thinkpad back to a decent heat level so far (don't plan on opening the chassis yet to check the dust hypothesis) were:
-creating a Power Manager setting to set CPU speed to "lowest". 987 Mhz is more than enough for my use. May have helped a bit.
-Set the wifi adapter settings to lowest in "power management" menu. Helped a GREAT deal, the box is at least blowing less warm air and I can use the right palmrest.

X61 do have 2 ventilation fans, which fan need to blow?

The second fan might be due to the WWAN? Those without WWAN do not have second fan - and probably do not heat up that much. My x61 tablet without WWAN however doesn't.
