T60P Crashes - Shuts Down

When we start Google Earth and the image starts rendering we get a hard shut-down. Our Model type is an 8742-C6U with 2 meg of RAM. Troubleshooting has boiled the issue down to the three-D or anti-aliasing function of the ATI Catalyst program. Each time it starts to render the system shuts down. We are running the latest version of the ATI drivers. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
