Docking Issues on T61 and Advanced docking station

Hi,
When i am undocked and dock the PC, a few things happen
1. the USB mouse and keyboard do not respond
2. the monitor sometimes requires me to open and close the laptop PC to fire up

When i undock (either via the SW or via th edocking station procedure
1. the PC screen goes blank and the hard drive hits a few times like ti its trying to do something but never recovers

I have no turbo memory, I had USD always on in the BIOS and in thumbing through previous posts have now turned off APS but have not retired since the docking station is at work.

Would APS cause the undocking syndrome? I am nto sure what causes the docking issues

Have Microsoft USB keyboard KC-0405 and moved it to PS2 with an adpater- works like a champ
