My T42p fell off the bed and closed the screen. The impact was quite hard on the solid floor, my heart skipped a beat and I grabbed it immediately. I checked every part of the machine and restarted the computer. I checked the screen and it booted up fine, its been 15 minutes and everything seems normal *sigh*

Re: Quite a scare !
Whew! With luck the special Active Protection System detected the drop on the way to the floor (some sort of accelerometer) and parked the hard drive on the way down. That's what is -supposed- to happen, anyway. You might want to run CHKDSK and see if there are any errors.ThinkPad wrote:My T42p fell off the bed and closed the screen.
