Hi, I have a thinkpad T42 that I installed linux on. I want to restore my windows partition now but am unable to because I guess from reading all the posts, the mbr was modified.
I have read a lot of threads here and they largely refer to a repair diskette from the lenovo site. I do not have a diskette drive. I did see mentioning of an iso version of a mbr repair tool, but I have not found any actual links to this program. Searching for anything at lenovo's site with their search engine is a lost cause.
So my question is what can I do at this point? I have an install of xp on my laptop right now, from my own disc. From there, I can see my recovery partition; everything seems intact. I do not have a floppy drive. I guess I need to restore the mbr so I can run RnR during startup. Is this possible without a floppy?
