PNY 512mb Sodimm $65 AR

#1 Post by sam82264 » Thu Nov 11, 2004 6:08 pm

Has anyone purchased the special on PNY 512mb PC2700 sodimm from Compusa? I believe this will work with Thinkpad 2378xxx notebooks. Just wondering if you had any problems with it or if anyone would recommend it. I believe it is $65 after a $30 rebate.

Thanks Yargok

When you open slot for adding memory their is only one Sodimm. How can one get to the other one to upgrade it, or is that one not upgrade able?

Leon i am not sure about your question. I just heard that it did work for 2378xxx. Maybe you can call PNY somehow.

The other one is located under the keyboard ... poke around the IBM site, there is a detailed set of instructions for taking apart the various parts of the thinkpad.

sam82264,

Watch the movies to learn how to install the memory under the keyboard!

What do you mean it's running better?

Does it run any faster? Is the display any clearer?

Or maybe it's just that you're happy to have saved a few $$$s?
