BIOS and Embedded controller update path for my T40

I am preparing to update my T40's BIOS and Embedded controller to the latest versions. The problem of course is that it is a bit behind. Where can I find the older versions of the BIOS as well as the embedded controller and what order should I install it all?

My current stats:
BIOS - 2.02
Embedded Controller - 1.02

Click on the link for the BIOS or Embedded Controller update. Scroll to the bottom of the page and you will see links to all the previous versions that are available. AFAIK, you can go straight to the latest updates. I could be wrong though. You should view the readme files before applying any updates.

Drivers and software - ThinkPad T40, T40p, T41, T41p

I wish I could go straight to the latest. When I read the prereqs for installation, it would just go further and further back. Sadly, I can't see the exact details on all the versions, so I can tell where I can skip or when I need to update this to update that, etc. I was hoping maybe someone knew of somewhere that had some sort of list to updating to the latest. Otherwise, I just have to download everything and guess :-/

I was in the same situation as I have T40 too.
For what is my experience, I updated straight to the latest BIOS and it was working even with a very old Embedded Controller Program. Then updated ECP to the latest version.

That's what I ended up doing. I decided to give it a shot because I figured it would stop me if it couldn't update. It updated all perfectly.
