Which driver for X1400 on T60?

#1 Post by marlinspike » Tue Nov 13, 2007 9:36 am

For a long time now, Thinkvantage update has been trying to get me to use driver 8.383.1.1-070621a-049739C-Lenovo while Windows update wants me to use 8.362.0.0.

So, which one should I be using? Anybody know what the differences are?

Use the one supplied by lenovo.

Following thread will give you an idea:

IBM PM Device?
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.

Don't update your driver unless you have an issue.

Well, I've been on the later windows one for a while now, but all of us with Vista have a "problem" - lower battery life. I wonder if the Lenovo one somehow will help that. (admittedly I still get about 4.5hours and of course my battery doesn't hold as much as it used to (79.5Wh instead of 85Wh).
