ThinkVantage Password Manager firefox extension troubles

#1 Post by abarbieri » Wed Nov 14, 2007 9:18 am

Hello,

it seems that the ThinkVantage Password Manager firefox extension is not really behaving as desired...

on every firefox launch four pop-up warnings (Failure in Chrome registration) appear before the proper firefox window and managing the add-ons reveals that all ThinkVantage Password Manager buttons are grayed out.

See this link http://groups.google.com/group/mozilla. ... 45554d9f16

is there any workaround?

regards,
andrea

Hmmm I suspect it is something on your computer I am running FireFox with ThinkVantage Password Manager 2.0 without any problems. And I have done it on the last several versions of FireFox. It works and it is functional.

Do this once: right click on firefox icon -> run as administrator.
Done.
This will help to get rid of "chrome registration" failures at firefox startup. (otherwise the extension is not registered, and you keep getting the error each time you start firefox.)
The next time you start firefox it will not give the error anymore.

I just found this problem with PasswordManager 3.0. I had PWM 2.0 and it worked without a problem. But now, anytime I clicked on a link or press ctrl + N to open a new window, Firefox crashes. I finally tracked down to PWM. When I disabled it, problem solved.
