I love the idea of having the OS on a seperate chip on the motherboard ... wonder if Lenovo will offer these on future thinkpads.

I have a Fujitsu Q2010 with an empty mini PCIe slot intended for a WWAN card (of which I have no need at $50+++ a month). Just today I was wondering if there was anything else of use I could stick in there. Now I find there IS, but if it's anything like the bigger/better 1.8" drives I need that are also being "offered only to OEM's" it could be years before I see one of these flash drives.

The search continues!

Lenovo T60 (IPS) - Fujitsu ST5020D - Fujitsu Q2010 - Docks and accessories for each (and a roomfull of stuff I can't use.)

nice find sri!   it's too bad that my windows folder under vista ultimate x64 is already 13.5GB.   16GB probably wouldn't be enough for me.

isn't the size of SP1 something like 8gb? this would make the drive obsolete.

i think MS trimmed it back considerably.   x64 SP1 RC is just over 1GB and x86 SP1 RC is about 700MB.

either way, 16GB definitely isn't enough for me.   i'd want 16GB for the OS and another 16GB for the page file.   once again technology is one step behind people's needs.

I don't know what the write/read speeds are, but the prices are not too bad ...
