T42p on T60p Advance Mini-Dock

#1 Post by mikek5117 » Thu Nov 15, 2007 9:22 pm

Ok, so I have a T60p 15" UXGA with Advanced Mini-Doc - 2504-10U - and I just ordered a T42p (same 15" UXGA config as the T60p). Question, will the T42p work in the Advanced Mini Doc? Or, visa-versa, will the Mini-dock for the T42p, if I purchase one, work with my T60p. I've searched but can't seem to find any definitive cross-reference postings. Thanks for any advice.

They are different docks/port replicators/connectors.

I have a T60p and a T43 and an Advanced Mini Dock for the T60p.

The T43 wont go into the T60p's dock. And I am guess the T42p wont
either.

One big reason would be that the T4x and T6x series use different voltages.

I hope I'm under the mistaken impression that posts were summarily deleted with a general scolding about content. If there's a problem that merits censorship, Bill, please ensure the offending parties have been told what that problem is.

FYI, the T60 series was pretty much cast in stone when lenovo took over the PCD..
so blame IBM..

and FWIW, i think your nickname for lenovo is petty and juvenile..
and it borders on trolling..
come on david, you know better..!

please be an adult.. :?

different port pin design for T60 and T4x.
so, it won't able to hijack on it neither.
1. T43 2668-B97 14" SXGA+ 1.5G RAM 9cells
2. X60s 1703-CA3 powerful

Trolling ... nothing was further from my intentions. Point taken. End of discussion.
