USB Keyboard w/ UltraNav + T60
does anyone use this combo?
i'm using it through the mini dock with vista, only one of the two driver packages would install since i've already got ultranav drivers (so says the driver package).
so far i've found that the volume keys work, but do not pull up the on-screen display. and the back/forward keys don't work. neither does Fn+F8.

Try using one of the onboard T60 USB ports instead of the minidock ports and report back .... that's what I had to do to get a good matchup (but that was with WinXP on a T61).shinjiplus wrote:does anyone use this combo?

hello ive been using this type of keyboard a long time, first on a t42p, now a t60p (both through mini docks), and have the same experience as you, volume buttoms work but does not display on screen, back and forward does work here though, as does FN+F4...shinjiplus wrote:does anyone use this combo?

i tried the T60 port: no dice, the back/forward keys still don't work.
i think there must be something up with the drivers. on initial boot the back/forward will work, but after a while i'll lose some functionality, such as back/forwards (that i notice first), Fn+F9 next.
thanks for the pointers, any other ideas?

funny enough - ive just installed a new t61p (in the same dock) and using all latest and greatest drivers, the on screen display for volume controls from usb keyboard works now...shinjiplus wrote:i tried the T60 port: no dice, the back/forward keys still don't work.

I don't have your setup, but the Keyboard Customizer Utility should give you more control over the keys on the USB keyboard.

thanks for the tip! do you know why the USB Keyboard tab is disabled when using this particular keyboard? using a different keyboard is A-OK
