Don't really want to buy or install any disk partition software.
I found this guide and followed the step 1 & 2 to select the disk on which I wanted to create another partition, but when I typed "create partition extended size=25600", it said diskpart was unable to create the specified partition
Did I miss something?
how to create partitions with diskpart.exe

While I unfortunately cannot help with your "Diskpart"-problem, I just wanted to point your attention towards an alternative tool (in the case you are still looking for a free partitionng software), this tool being "GParted ":
Have a look at these threads: Any free partition creating/merging software?, Partition question, How to combine two Windows partitions into one, for free? and How to repartition and backup in XP? Please help. - just because I was looking for something similar (a free partitioning tool) recently. I haven't tried gParted, either.
Best regards,
Johan

I have used Gparted. It is a lot like Partition Magic. It seemed to work fine for me. I used the bootable cd image. http://sourceforge.net/project/showfile ... _id=173828
