390X wireless problem

#1 Post by Atlas64 » Sat Nov 17, 2007 6:03 pm

Ok as i said in an earlier post i have a TP 390x, 190 mb ram, 12 gig hd, running 98SE. I finally got the thing to accept both my flash drive and my wireless card. Now when i turn it on with the wireless card in the PCMIA slot, it gets to about half way loading windows then BSODS. This only happens when the wireless card is plugged in. Whats the deal???

go into w9x safe mode, uninstall the previous modem/lan drivers then add new device.my 390 runs sweet with centrino wifi in xp.
if still dramas you may consider upgrade to win me which could arrange the drivers to sort out themselfs, like 2k-xp-vista does.
