**SOLD** T42/P (Warning Pics inside)

#1 Post by Harryc » Sun Nov 18, 2007 11:32 am

2373-KXU
Original description: P M 755 (2.0GHz Pentium M), 1GB RAM, 60GB 7200rpm HDD, 15" UXGA(1600x1200) Flexview TFT LCD, 128MB ATI FireGL T2, CD-RW/DVD-R Multi-Burner(slim), IBM 802.11a/b/g wireless(MPCI), Bluetooth/Modem(CDC), 1Gb Ethernet(LOM), UltraNav, Secure Chip, 9 cell Li-Ion battery, WinXP Pro. (COA intact).

Upgrades (included in price) -
New Hitachi 100GB 7K100 (7200rpm) Hard Drive
2GB of PC2700 RAM

More New Parts - Keyboard, LCD, Fan, DVD Multiburner, Thai-Manufactured NMB Brand Keyboard, Palm Rest, LCD bezel and lid, 9-cell battery. All of these parts were replaced within the last few months. I think the LCD was powered on twice. It was replaced by IBM service 2 weeks ago and it's immaculate.

IBM Depot Maintenance until 12/31/2009. I purchased this maintenance extension, it takes effect on 12/31/07. Currently it has onsite maintenance until then.

Selling due to an upgrade. I've included pictures below, but it's not really necessary. Just picture in your mind what a brand new T42P would look like out of the box and you'd be very close. This machine sat in a dock and never left this room - non-smoking environment. It runs fast, cool, and quiet. The 9-cell battery has (17) cycles on it. Full capacity is 76.13Wh against a design capacity of 77.75Wh. Those battery specs might not mean much to some folks, so lets just say it is hardly used. It will ship with the Rescue/Recovery CD's, the original manual, and an A/C adapter. It will have the factory recovery partition intact and will be initialized with a factory XP load. Machines in this condition with Flexview LCD's and 2 plus years of warranty remaining are becoming very rare. Don't let this one pass you by.

Thanks Gator. This is my personal machine and I took very care of it for the short time I had it.

Harry...selling ALL of your ThinkPads...OMG...no wonder it's snowing outside, and badly so...

Anyone looking for a new machine with UXGA FlexView should be PM-ing Harry right now...because THIS is as new as you're EVER going to find...period! Not "refurbished" by unknowns, all true-blue IBM/Lenovo top of the line machine offered by a VERY trustworthy seller, and with a TON of warranty left...

Good luck with the sale, not that you're going to need much of it for this laptop, you just need ONE smart buyer...

Cheers,

George (your grouchy retired FlexView farmer)
