Thinkpad T24p Carrying Case (15") like THIS?

#1 Post by kjarrett » Sat Nov 13, 2004 12:54 pm

Anyone know if they make this for the 15" T42p?

I looked at the others people have been talking about here, they are very nice, but beyond my budget and desire. Just need something basic, like above. My T42p rarely goes anywhere, just want something decent to stow it in when it does.

Thanks, kj

Yes, the A4L model will fit 15" T42. Elecom is the japanese company who makes these bags (as well as the zeroshocks). The 2nd link shows which bags fits which Thinkpads.

I have the A4 one. It fits my 14.1" snugly.

Thanks, but which do I need for a 15" T42p with a 9-cell?

How would I order it - this site is in Japanese - are these available in the US?

Hi Sugo,

This is a pic of the A4L:

Nice sleeve but doesn't look to have the pouches. Those would be nice.

And where would someone order this in the states?

the X series had an IBM bag that looked just like that. Besides that Elecon Japanese bag though, I couldn't find one either so I gave up :)

I was going to just get a Timbuk2 bag but they aren't formal/businessy enough and the Zeroshocks are too minimalist - I need something to carry my powersupply a pad of paper and a cd or two.

Have you looked at the Booq Powersleeves? They look a bit more "businessy" than the Timbuk2's, and it's pretty slim. Has a slot pocket in the back for a pad of paper.

I personally have looked at Booq and so many it makes my head spin.

Most are very minimalist (which I like) but the one pictured above is the only one I've seen with a pouch for the AC adapter.

What are all you sleeve-types doing to transport your AC adapters?

I put it in the front pocket of my backpack. My Waterfield SleeveCase also has a pocket at the back that *could* hold it too, but I wouldn't carry it in my backpack like that.

The Booq Powersleeve 14, for my T42 14 inch, fits the AC adapter just fine. It's a great case.
