Password Manager?

#1 Post by salin » Wed Nov 21, 2007 8:36 am

I have been trying to locate some info on the usage of the Password Manager. I don't seem to be able to locate anything using the ThinkVantage button. Where can I find the needed info to make a decision if I'm going to consider this program or not.
I guess another questions is: is this a worth while feature to use?

I tried it for a while and found it to be pretty slow, use pretty much ram, made internet explorer 7 slower because of a add-on needed to make it work with IE. One example is when i opened a new tab in IE7 it was slow because of this add-on and found that to be pretty annoying. I also had several application where it didn't work properly like using windows live messenger. So i think there are other password manager applications available that is much better then the one included with the client security suite. That is my opinion and other might not agree. At least i don't use it anymore.

The only benefit of using the password manager included with the client security suite is the integration with the fingerprint reader if you use it. I don't know where to find any really useful information about password manager, but it's easy to uninstall if you don't want it or just disable this feature of the security suite.

I guess it depends on what you are trying to find out. Have you tried the help section in it? That would be where I would start. Or you can post your question, it might be helpful to post the version you are running as well. Not all of them are the same.

There is a guide included with Client Security Solution 8.0. Following are the deployment and Client Security Solution user guides for version 8.0 and an earlier version 6.0 respectvely, they also include the information you are looking for:

With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.
