x30 hard drive upgrade

#1 Post by miketoro » Wed Nov 21, 2007 3:30 pm

I have an x30 2672-4BU that needs a new hard drive. I like the size and speed of the Seagate Momentus, but can't figure out if its compatible.

Will that Seagate fit and work in my x30?

I know I need a 2.5" ATA; the Seagate says it's ATA-6, which confuses me.

Thanks in advance,
-mike

The numer behind ATA denotes the version of the ATA standard. They are fully downward compatible. No need to worry.

Many thanks :P

Do you have any experience with the Seagate? I read in an old post many here like the 7,200 rpm hitachi :?:
