FS Flexview heaven T60P and T42P's

#1 Post by positive » Sat Nov 24, 2007 12:06 am

Hello all,

I am selling a few laptops. I wanted to offer them here, before going to ebay. I am pricing them fairly. They all have the beautiful Flexview screen. I tested them all with dead pixel buddy. Like many on this forum, I love that screen!

1.) *SOLD* T60P 2623-DDU warranty until 5/2009. No dead pixels, beautiful screen. Extended battery, cycle count of 66, 67.11/75.41, 100Gb 7200, 1Gb RAM, DVD Multi, Verizon (Sierra) WWAN, Intel 3945abg, ATI FireGL V5200, Bluetooth, keyboard with mild shine (no worn letters), top has light surface marks, excellent overall condition. $1150.00.

2.) *SOLD* T42P 2373-Q1U warranty until 2/2008. No dead pixels, extremely small marks, only visible with a white screen. Probably wouldn't notice them at all, but I wanted to mention them (they are not smudge marks, but really small dark spots). Brand new 9 cell battery, first used today. 60Gb 7200, 1Gb RAM, DVD Multi+, excellent condition, $775.00.

3.) *SOLD* T42P 2373-Q2U warranty until 2/2008. No dead pixels, perfect screen. 9 cell battery, cycle count of 8, 66.93/71.28. 60Gb 7200, 1.5GB RAM, DVD/CD-RW, Bluetooth, excellent condition, $775.00

4.) *SOLD* T42P 2373-Q2U warranty until 2/2008. Same exact configuration and condition as #3, except no Bluetooth. 9 cell battery with cycle count of 8, 73.02/71.28, $775.00

5.) *SOLD* T42P 2373-C96 warranty until 7/2008. No dead pixels, perfect screen. 9 cell battery, cycle count of 343, 38.04/71.28. 80Gb 5400, 1Gb RAM, DVD Multi+, excellent condition, $750.00

6.) T42P 2373-Q1U warranty expired on 11/19/2007. No dead pixels. 9 cell battery, cycle count 269, 30.58/71.28. 60Gb 7200, 1Gb RAM, DVD Multi+, average condition. Screen has no dead or stuck pixels but has a couple smudge marks, keyboard is worn, scratches on lid + bottom. Cannot eject the DVD Multi+ from the ultrabay (it works, but the drive itself cannot be ejected. I didn't want to force it out). Works perfectly. $500.00.

I have described them all briefly. If you have any questions, please ask. If anyone would like pictures, I can email them to you. Thank you.

Impressive...nice machines with fair prices, and yes, finally someone who has more FlexViews for sale than me...

Good luck.

I agree with George, very impressive.

Fairly priced with the best UXGA Flexview screens.

Could you please insert the Screen resolutions for each? I know one could look them up on the Tabook.. but.. that way there are no mistakes.

All T42p's listed here, and also the T60p, are 15" UXGA FlexView/IPS (1600x1200 pixels). For more info, see the (brief) specs for the following models here: 2373-Q1U, 2373-Q2U , 2373-C96 and 2623-DDU. More detailed specs can be found here: 2373-Q1U, 2373-Q2U, 2623-DDU

For the -Q1U and -Q2U T42p's, the same information is seen in the ltwbook, see page 61. The T60p is shown in the tabook, see page 18. For those wanting to admire the beauty of a T42p, have a look at the images --> here... :-)

... and then tell me: How could anybody simply NOT want to own one of these, yes, T42p-FlexView beauties? Do I hear all you agree? Of course I do! :-D

The three-year warranty on most of the T42p's are near to expire. The warranty can be extended for two more years (the EZServ "pick-up and return" service) if ordering the IBM P/N 41C9180 ("5 year depot, 5 years parts and labor depot warranty"). It is valid for T42p's (according to the CostCentral site, and offered there for $167). The cheapest place where I have so far found the 41C9180 is at Affinity Systems, Inc. at $150 (although the headline there is a little confusing, saying: "LENOVO THINKPLUS DESKTOP"). At Bottom Line Telecommunications, Inc. there is no confusion, and the price is $160,- The P/N 41C9180 is also offered directly by IBM, but the list price here is $200 (here).

Wow, I am immediately forming a line to get one these - while stock still last! Now, I simply hold my breathe and cross my fingers and hope that they have not yet all been grabbed!

Good luck with the sale; this must be a once-in-a-lifetime-T42p-sale! :thumbs-UP:

Best regards,

Johan

Hello,

I have two T60P's left, but currently I'm keeping them. One is the hard to find T2700, and the other the T2600. Both perfect machines. I am upgrading the processor to the T7600 on the T2600 machine. I may consider selling them someday... :D

If anyone wants to make an offer on the last T42P, please feel free to do so. It's not in perfect shape, but it works well.

Thanks
