Glossy or non-glossy LCD screen on your lovely Thinkpad

#1 Post by gunston » Sat Nov 24, 2007 4:23 am

thinking to get one 3M glossy LCD protector sheet to my 14' LCD.

does it make the display darker or brighter?

what is your option?

2. X60s 1703-CA3 powerful

I am not yet decided. I have the sheets to cover the screen making it a glossy type, but have yet to install.
My concern is that the pressure marks I already have will increase due to the reduction in space between the closed LCD lid and the keys/wrist rest.

Just holding the sheet up to the screen makes it look awfully good though...

If it's a 'protector' sheet, doesn't that imply that's it's removable? Give it a shot to see if you like it.

The sheets I have are from new LCD's we build at work, and will fit 19" screens. I'll need to trim a bit, but will do so next time they're in my hands.
For now, I'm playing the "Where in blazes did I put them???" game.
