T42 Motherboard - Dual Channel Memory Support

#1 Post by banix88 » Sun Nov 14, 2004 12:54 am

Does the t42 (2378dxu) main motherboard support dual channel memory configuration... if my system has 512mb already in it and i want to upgrade by added another memory stick... will i be better off with 1X512mb stick exactly the same as the existing one, or a 1X1GB stick...

Regards

it is better to have stick of 1G then two 512. as i read the description of Kingston ram for t42p they said that you can use the kingston ram with any combination. but still 1G stick would be better.

no. dual channel, as usually found in p4's these days, is not in the notebook chipset for p-m. it will be eventually, but not now.
