Hi all,
Have just had the misfortune to have one machine present me with the XP blue screen of death and now, another! Is this just bad luck or a sign that all is not well with these units?
Luckily I had a recent backup to an external USB drive and simply reinstalled from there.
What caused it? I believe it was the software update that I ran from the IBM/Lenovo pdate facility. This added 6 or so files to the machine, rebooted, then the blue screen.
Is there a more reliable way to update these machines? I am starting to find this a bit tiresome (have 4 X41's to look after!).
Thanks
Mike
