4-Port USB/DVI KVM Switch

#1 Post by Harryc » Sun Nov 25, 2007 4:50 pm

Any recommendations? I am looking to spend less than $100 with cables and it has to work with T6X Advanced Mini Docks.

More than $100, but the IOGEAR DVI KVMP Switch GCS1764 looks good on paper. The audio ports and USB hub are nice features. Anyone with experience using it?

What about the Advocent Switchview Dvi 4 Port USB KVM Switch USB 2.0 Hub with Audio?

Just to finish up this thread, I did end up getting the IOGear DVI KVMP Switch (GCS1764). It works flawlessly switching between my AMD desktop and (2) Thinkpads both in Advanced Mini Docks (T60 and T61P) and connected to a 19" DVI LCD running at 1280x1024x60Hz. One of the nice things about it is that it does not require any software for the hotkeys to work, so it is 100% functional with Linux. Another unique feature is the USB, sound, and video switching hot key options. For example you can start a print job and listen to music on PC#1, the switch just video to PC#2. So the print job completes and the music plays on PC#1 while you are working with video and keyboard/mouse on PC#2. Very slick.
