Ultrabay Slim Battery - discharge first or second?

Is there a way I can choose which battery to discharge first?

I have three extra 9-cell batteries for my t43p, and an ultrabay slim battery. But by default my laptop discharges the ultrabay slim battery first. This way I cannot hotswap the 9-cell batts, because the laptop kills the ultrabay slim - so I have to turn it off/on in order to replace the 9-cell.

One of the benefits of the ultrabay slim (I thought!) was the ability to hotswap main batts without turning off the laptop - but I cannot do this because it always kills the ultrabay battery first (within an hour or two!).

Is there a way I can choose which one to discharge first? Short of leaving it disconnected?

In short, there's no real way around it right now besides leaving a bit of charge in the ultrabay slim battery and swapping it just about when the main battery empties.

Maybe it's a way for them to sell us the "multiple battery charger" so we have a merry-go-round of batteries, unfortunately...

oh, thanks! Sorry, I searched but couldn't find anything - though plenty of battery related threads on this forum.

Maybe I'll find some cheap source of ultrabay slim batteries instead...
