External LCD Monitor for a T43

I own a T43 with a 14" 1450x1080 SXGA+ screen. I am planning to buy an external LCD display (not sure yet between 19", 20" and 22").
Two questions:
- are there any limitations of size or resolution that could come from my video card (ATI Radeon X300). If so, what are is the maximum monitor size/resolution I can go for.
- do you have any recommendation for a monitor in these dimensions. Right now, because of space limitations, I am really thinking of either 19" or 20" widescreen format (22" is great but a little big for me). Ideal monitor would include height adjustment and built-in speakers, even of poor quality.

Your T43 should be able to drive a 24" wide screen monitor to 1920x1200. I am doing this now with a T41 and a T42P on a Dell 24" monitor.
