ThinkPad T60, Rescue and Recovery v. 3 error.

#1 Post by Lamprolite » Mon Nov 26, 2007 7:51 am

Hello All,

I have a 4 month old T60. It has an 80 gb HDD. Due to the way it was configured when I bought it. Rescue and Recovery was doing backups of my HDD and saving them to a "hidden" partition (D:\SecureDrive). But it wasn't overwriting the old back ups just doing new ones.

Because of this I was down to less than 1gb of space. While I only had about 20gb of data. The rest was take up by the backups.

When i try to delete them from the rescue and recovery program, i get the error "Cannot Delete requested backup. Not enough memory to perform requested operation".

I called Lenovo Tec Support, but they don't handle software tickets, but the agent on the phone suggested I try and free up some hard drive space. So I managed to get 4gb freed up on the HDD but I still get the same "not enough memory error".

Anyone else have a suggestion as to how i can delete these usurping back ups and reclaim my HDD space?

I can see the Partition in Explorer but I can't see any of the files, even when I got to Tool->File options-> view hidden files.

Thanks for any advice you can give me.
