Which Powersleevz for 15" T42p w/9-cell?
...anyone? The website confuses me...!

hi,
as i pm'd you a little while ago.still had no chance to check if the 15' 9 cell will fit in the sleeve14 from booq. same articles say it does.
bill has fedex'd my kxu. the wire transfer took a couple of days, because i had to send the form by papermail to my bank.
if it arrives i will check if and how it fits
so i still have to be a little patient b4 it arrives.
nevertheless better then years ago, when dealers where refused to send thinkpads over the pond. Even then you could buy a ticket to the states, collect your thinkpad and happily return to europe and still save money over buying local.
But being at friends who have this booq sleeve, several things bugged me.
the plastic looking booq logo on the flap which is with metal pins pushed through the flap-pocket gives it a cheap look (well just my opinion).
removing it leaves you with 2 not so nice slides(cq holes) in the flap.
Further, if it fit there is also almost no space left for some extra things (think of power adaptor, power cord, maybe mouse and/or security lock)
Just like perfect women don't exist
, probably the same is thru for laptopbags cq sleeves. and what is acceptable for one is not for another.
i did some further searching on the web, and stumbled over laptrap.
http://www.sjdesign.com/laptrap4.html
still have mixed feelings.
it would be great if booq had some attach compartment for their sleeves which could be added/removed with a zipper or added to the closing belt.
just an option between minimal approach with only sleeve and fully packed (backpack)

What are you confused about? Just look at the dimensions on the Booq site and it's pretty clear. The 15" with 9-cell will not fit in a powersleeve 14 at all. However, I bought a 6-cell and my 15" laptop fits in the powersleeve 14 just perfect; the laptop is completely snug on all sides.kjarrett wrote:...anyone? The website confuses me...!

Thanks I too have a 6-cell now, and a 9-cell, and an Ultrabay Slim battery!
Does the Booq have any room for the AC adapter and my "battery collection?"

Do you mean the AC adapter goes in this back pocket?

If so, given the depth of the adapter, I can easily see the pouch holding my 9-cell and ultrabay batteries. It'll bulge a bit but should hold....no? How snug is it?

Well I keep telling myself I need a new pack but my Spire Zoom is just too practical. Here's the current model:
http://www.spireusa.com/products/ZM5.html
It is an older model, but the T42p w/6 cell fits in the padded sleeve perfectly, and there are plenty of other pouches for gear, it's comfortable and works great. I thought I would get another bag but I can't justify it. The Booq is nice though, that's the one I would get if I didn't have the Spire.

The AC fits in the front pocket. It is snug, but it doesn't put any strain on the zipper. It sticks out a little, but it's really not bad at all. It doesn't look that obvious, but you can tell it's there.
Overall, it's a good compromise. The bag and the pockets are slim, yet when you need the AC, it will fit it no problem.

the 15' with ninecell fits(although not so nice as with the 6cell) in the powersleev 14 and then the poweradaptor fits in the frontpouch.
bur don't expect to take more.
maybe the new mamba from booq
http://www.booqbags.com/Detail.bok?no=94
is a better option or something from another made.
i will for me not go with the booq sleev. have some extra thing to carry
which i would like in the same bag

You've actually stuffed a 15" with 9-cell into a powersleeve 14??ziggetty wrote:the 15' with ninecell fits(although not so nice as with the 6cell) in the powersleev 14 and then the poweradaptor fits in the frontpouch.
