T61 Screen Brightness Controls wont work neither displayed

T61 Screen Brightness Controls wont work neither displayed anymore. ok, i used not the official lenovo driver but instead nvidia driver, but come on ? that cant be or ? especially because the lenovo drivers are sooo old and sooo slow.(and also dont work good) why buying a notebook with a decent graphic card when i only get old, slow drivers ???

anyone with a solutions i would be very grateful...

i always thought why ibm dont take nvidia cards ? now i know, they are not better at all(at least from the driver view...)

Using the official drivers provided by lenovo is the solution, even the ones provided by Microsoft should work.

I haven't tried it but install the drivers from lenovo 1st then overwrite them with the ones from nVidia and see what happens.

i had first the original drivers and than the other one and...voila...no working anymore.
thats what really bothers me, they are not working anymore, i mean the soundcontrols they are also not displayer but they are even working....

with the original drivers i have around 30% (!) speed decrease compared to the actual, non-lenovo drivers, so this is not a solution to go back. than i could also keep my t60...
