Video conflict - Presentation Director v. ATI Catalyst

I just got a T60p. It has an ATI Mobility card. It has the ATI Catalyst Center and Thinkvantage Presentation Director. They each are fighting for control.

If I delete the ATI Catalyst program, will it cause problems for me in managing my video? The two programs seem to be fighting one another for control.

For instance, I run a separate 19" LCD monitor alongside the T60. I power down, undock and then run the machine undocked. When I power up in the dock, my automatic docked settings, set in Presentation Manager, are not implemented. I have to manually implement them in Presentation Manager, then change the resolution for the external monitor in ATI Catalyst.

Not exactly smooth.
