T60P with the Slim 2nd Hard Drive Adapter Caddy

My buddy has a T60P .
It has the 100gig 7200rpm SATA drive.
He asked me to look for a 2nd Hard Drive Adapter Caddy.

I have seen this one on e-bay...

But this one is for a IDE hard drive.
I was thinking i would have to use the SATA adapter.
So can the T60P use eather adapter's?The IDE or SATA?

Yes the T60p can use either adapter, however the harddrive needs an adapter that is compatible with the harddrive. The normal hardrive for the T6x is the SATA drive, if one happens to have an older IDE drive you can obtain an adapter for that as well, but the SATA drive will not work in that adapter. I hope that does not create more confusion.

Thanks for the info.
the 100gig , 7200 drive is the main drive in his T60P now.
He has a 60gig 5400rpm PATA(IDE) drive he was going to buy a usb case for.
But i was telling him about the slim adapter's.
I just dident know if where the main 100gig 7200rpm drive is a SATA that you could use the slim adapter with the PATA(IDE) drive the same time in it.
It's good to know you can.
I just ordered one from e-bay.For just over 20.00 we'll see what it's like.
