stereo sound

#1 Post by rdkng07 » Thu Nov 29, 2007 7:18 pm

Hi all,

Quick question:

I have been listening to MP3s on my R60 with cheap ear buds. Got a better set of earbuds (KOSS STEREO) and now I have no sound on the left side. Is this a media player issue? I have been through all the settings, and when I adjust the balance to the left, nothing. I am thinking of getting a audio card, but until then is this a hardware or software issue?

Thanks for any feedback.

Could the 'better' earbuds be less good than the El Cheapos?
Like a defective set?
Could your audio-out slot be giving poor contact?

I would test by going back to the old set and see if the sound returns in the offending channel, if it does, the ear buds are to blame.
