Selective Application Install During Rescue & Recovery

#1 Post by STRYPER » Thu Nov 29, 2007 7:32 pm

Is it possible that when doing a complete system recovery (using R&R) that you can choose which applications you want to put back on your system and which you dont want?

For instance, i dont want to have Norton Internet Security, MSSQL Server, Windows Live Toolbar... Is this a possibility?

Yes as long as you've the latest version of ThinkVantage Rescue and Recovery.

With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."

Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.

When you say the latest version, do you mean 4.1 which is the latest downloadable version or 4.2 which is the latest one on the Lenovo Web site (but not downloadable)?

I was referring to Rescue and Recovery 4.1:

Rescue and Recovery 4.1.

Rescue and Recovery 4.2 is available to enterprises at this moment only. One can order it from IBM parts also.

whenever you go to R/R mode and you choose to restore system and during the process, it will ask you want to Full Recovery or Custom Recovery, click Custom Recovery and follow the process.
