Beeping before sleeping option in Vista?

#1 Post by Mobil1 » Sat Dec 01, 2007 4:51 pm

Is this option available under Vista? With XP installed, when I closed the lid the unit would beep continously until it went to sleep, but I no longer find this option in Access IBM under Vista.

That option is also present in Windows Vista through ThinkVantage Power Manager. You would just need to checkmark "Beep until completed" under Global Power settings for the event named "Lid closed".

With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."

Thanks for the info! Turns out I still had to download the Power Manager from Lenovo, for some reason it wasn't listed in the download directory for the T42p. In fact the T42p isn't even listed as a supported model but it seems to be working fine thankfully.
