One Problem Solved, Few more to do!! Need help

#1 Post by kookatt » Sun Dec 02, 2007 7:00 am

Regarding my previous post on trackpoint driver problem. I've uninstalled the driver and not install any driver for trackpoint. My X61 goes BSOD less freequent since then. But I still have problem with BSOD once in a while. I look further and found that Firefox also need fixed to 2.0.0.11 and I also uninstall CCS 8.

After uninstalling CCS 8 and update firefox, I haven't yet get any BSOD. My X61 boot 10 times faster and much more responsive. So I guess that CCS 8 is one of the problem and can be regard as unnecessary. Won't use it anymore.

I still curious about RR. Does it worth installing or should I goes with commercialware solution e.g. Ghost or Acronist for backup purpose. Please let me know your view.

The problem I am originall intend to ask is how to totally uninstall CC8. I've uninstall it but couldn't find the way to delete password manager addon (which comes with CCS 8) in Firefox. I'm currently disable it but would like to uninstall. Any one have information on this matter.

Lastly, I've look into my startup process and found "TVT scheduler proxy" "TPFNF7". What are these process and should i disable it? And are there any other startup process that comes wiht Lenovo or driver that I should disable to increase performance and reliability of X61? Perhaps SoundmaxPnP and SoundMax?

Thank you in advance for all your opinions

Koo
