Battery Storeage

#1 Post by Truthfinder » Wed Dec 05, 2007 1:16 am

Hopefully I'm not posting this in the wrong location !
Please correct me if I have.....

******* I have several 9 cell batteries for my T60 and would like to know the best way to store them, for short term..... I would say for a month or so at a time.

Should I store them with a full charge, 50%, or down low.

Thanks one and all

50%... well actually 40%, but it's not a big difference. The point is full=bad because it wears out faster, empty=bad because it might self-discharge to the point of no return.

How to store batteries from Battery University.
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.
