Where Have all the Thinkpads gone?

#1 Post by Oldguy » Fri Dec 07, 2007 2:30 pm

Is it just me and my internet connection?
Follow the links from http://www.lenovo.com/ca/en/ and try to find a T61p, or a T61 anything other than the 3 or so "specials"

IS there a problem with the T61's?

Or me and me old 'puter??

The site has been redesigned to allow customers to configure their thinkpads using the 3 different basic configurations available. This allows for customers to be able to customize their thinkpad from hundreds of thousands of possible combinations as opposed to the couple dozen pre-configured models the site used to have.

I did notice that you can't pick a non-widescreen T61. Interesting. As opposed to this choice of (2) SXGA+ 14 inch T61P's -
Lenovo US

Thinkpad T61p is there, you just have to choose WSXGA+ or WUXGA to get it configured.

With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.
