Skype calls $.25 per minute in Poland? Any alternatives?

What is this? Why did skype become so expansive? I make phone calls (skype to cell) in Poland and I get charged ~$.25 per minute, but when I call U.S. (also skype to cell) i get charged $.02
So what are some other alternatives to Skype? I need something cheaper.

The call to a cell phone is what's killing you. Landlines are cheaper.

yeah i read that post. i was wondering thou if there is any alternative to cheaper cell phone calls in Europe.

Sure there is: have them call you on your landline. Costs nothing.

Negative, even local calls from your landline cost money in Poland.
