So, did you check to see if the keyboard was shifted as noted in that thread? I've changed mine and never had a problem.

I also found this on "Inside the Box" http://lenovoblogs.com/insidethebox/
(As a side note, we often get criticized for not having the memory more accessible. We did this on purpose. On a ThinkPad, the memory underneath the palm rest has the Roll Cage surrounding it, which helps protect it). If it were underneath the system, it wouldn’t have Roll Cage protection).
That explains why it so hard to get to the memory.

Did you loosen the keyboard screws before trying to realign it?

When you installed the memory, you probably removed 5 screws instead of 4. The keyboard has a tendency to slide forward when you remove the 5th screw (since it allows you to remove the keyboard). To fix it, remove all 5 screws again. Then push the keyboard back towards the display. That has worked for me and others.

If it doesn't you may have jammed the keyboard, I would pull it forward then push it back again.

There are some wires that can get caught between the rear edge of the keyboard and the laptop frame that will prevent it from sliding back completely to where it belongs. I had this same issue when the technician that worked on my laptop failed to route the wires correctly.

I had the same problem when I put cpu grease on my T60. It was the keyboard not on right.

Also, the bezel is a PITA.
